Sleaford Show 2022

The Sleaford Show,

by Roy

This year was the 29th Sleaford Classic Car and Motorcycle Show, held in the town. As well as cars and motorcycles there are military and commercial vehicles from the past.

Luckily the weather was good always a bonus for an outdoor event. There were about 120 cars on display plus 20 or so motorcycles. One blue Austin 7 was 100 years old having been made in 1922, it is in very nice condition.

The show was held at Lafford Terrace which has been the shows regular home for several years now. I spotted a nice Harley, the owner brought it many years ago in bits and has rebuilt it, it is his favourite motorcycle, however he has a couple of modern bikes.

When he was younger, he and his elder brother raced outfits so we had plenty to talk about. He told me that if you have raced on a track, it alters how you ride on the roads.

Later in the day a Spitfire from the Battle of Britain flew over the show always nice to see.

Lots of food and trade outlets for you to look at, another good show, well done to the team of volunteers, sponsors and all the entrants and visitors who make the show a success.

Well done everybody.
