After now owning a URAL SIDECAR for quite a number of years attach to my Mystic BMW l greatly appreciate its STURDY construction & road holding capabilities/ground clearance on TARMAC or OFF ROAD also it FLOATS VERY WELL! However now it needs a little tender LOVE!
1Before the LOCKDOWN l had to move this LED spot light from the mud guard above the front light cluster.
The weight of the LED spot light & vibrations/potholes/SALT/WATER my mudguard was in a HOLEY STATE!
Yes we have a spot of bother caused from “Hydrated Iron Oxide” = RUST.
In NORMAL TIMES l would just take off this mudguard and take to my local sand blaster/welder/paint powder coater for repair but that’s now CLOSED DOWN.
PLAN B. Become a SHED WELDER!
l decided not to weld the mud guard its self because l might make things much WORST with even a BIGGER HOLE!

PATTERN TAKEN FROM THE ORIGINAL URAL MUD FLAP AND MADE ON SITE IN THE SHED.
EXTRA MUD FLAP TO THE FRONT. I FIND THAT MY SIDECAR WHEEL GETS A VERY “HARD LIFE’ FALLING INTO ALL THE POTHOLES & THE MUDDY VERGES/LANES.
