Avro Heritage Museum

This museum has been on my radar for quite a while now, so on the third Sunday in April Michael & the Mystic paid a visit.

Avro Heritage Museum First opened in November 2015 and situated in the Aerodrome Fire Station.

Us over 60s only £6 admission charge. Also comes with a very friendly volunteer staff.

Plus the ride to the south of Manchester via the Peak District was a very scenic route.

The Airfield Fire Station now the museum.

In Herman’s day it was called propaganda and now it’s called FAKE NEWS!

Just what l wanted this winter heated gloves.

Also a special time for the RAF this year 100 years of the Royal Air Force: Incredible pictures depict the history …

Time for a snack in the VULAN CAFE.

The Vulcan.

The Mystic/Vulcan and a April shower.

My return journey takes me via Chapel- en- le- Frith    Chapel-en-le-Frith

Also home to FERODO Brake Company and a MV Agusta motorcycle shop   Speedycom Performance Ltd

The 1970 Isle of Man TT Poster featuring Ago – YouTube

MV Agusta.

Now above the village Combs on a rough/rocky/rutted track which takes me over the “Tops” to Buxton.

After l had stop to take these photos & the Mystic wound only give me a CLICK from the starter motor! However by now l was descending down the lane and so implemented Plan B and did a “bump start” to start the engine. Thus not stopping the engine until l was home again.

Next day l found a wee spot of CORROSION !

Bye for now from the “In Rust We Trust Team”
